One-On-One Personal Training

Personal Training at Ocean state Fit is an excellent option for someone who prefers a 1:1 coaching relationship as their primary form of training. It’s a personalized plan that caters to your individual needs and goals.

Look Better: We’ll help you lose the weight(or gain the weight) without sacrificing critical muscle mass.  Smart programming paired with proper nutrition will get you there.

Feel Better: Get out of pain and begin enjoying your body again.  This is priority number one and will set you up for success if you also have aesthetic and/or performance goals.

Play Better: We get you to move better and improve stability and strength.  Regardless of your recreational goals, these are the pillars for improvement and enjoyment.

What the hell is Auto Regulate?  Auto Regulate is the skill to alter a program on the fly due to various circumstances that arise during a training session.  This is one of the primary benefits of having a skilled coach to oversee the program.  The knowledge and experience to auto regulate is how we keep our clients on track and injury free. 

Pricing: Our hourly rate ranges from $60-$72 depending on length of commitment.  Payment plans are available for longer commitments.  Please inquire for more details.

Online Coaching / Consulting

Our online coaching program is a great way to gain access to John at a fraction of the cost of one-on-one training.  There are some limitations, but if you're willing to put in the work and stay consistent you'll do great.  If you're dealing with an injury or chronic pain situation, Online Training may not be your best option.

What's Included: 

An initial evaluation to help determine program design.  Knowing how you move, and any limitations you may have is critical to program design. Based on this information you’ll receive various corrective strategies to address limitations. Re-assessments occur throughout the program. 

Your program includes two workouts (A & B). These workouts are usually Full Body in nature, but not always. This component can change depending on your goals, access to equipment, experience and how many times a week you plan on training. Each exercise in your program will include visual demonstration as well as written coaching cues. You’ll also have visual and written instruction for any corrective strategies.  Month to month we’ll adjust the program as needed.

Coaching sessions are done via a video platform or at my studio if you're local.  Depending on your needs, the number of coaching sessions will vary and impact the cost of the program.  These are not personal training sessions per se, but rather 45-60 minutes of assessing and coaching. This is about fine tuning a program and making sure each exercise is appropriate and done well. This is also the time to delve deep into any questions regarding nutrition. 

Weekly email correspondence and video review.  This helps bridge the gap between coaching sessions and allows for more opportunity to make sure the program remains on track.  Evaluating and critiquing exercise form via video is a critical component to assuring an exercise is being performed as intended.

 

Nutrition Review.  Improving nutrition is vital whether your goals are aesthetic in nature or more geared towards feeling better or performance.
